Estelle Hitch

A religious service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Thibodaux for Estelle Dennis Hitch, 88, a native and resident of Thibodaux, who died Jan. 18, 2000. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today and 8 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux. Burial will be at St. John Episcopal Church Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She was the mother of Bill Hitch of Enterprise, Ala.; and sister of Michael and Clyde Dennis, Pearl George, Lottie Soignet and Emily Rodrigue, all of Thibodaux. She is also survived by two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard M. Hitch Sr.; parents, O.F. "Tobe" and Emily Webre Dennis; and sister, Elizabeth Gervais.

Donations to Coffee County Adult Day Care Center, 106 Douglas Brown Circle, Enterprise, Ala., 36330, or Alzheimers Association, 919 North Michigan Ave., Suite 1000, Chicago, IL, 68611, are preferred.

Landry's Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Landry's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, with burial in St. John Episcopal Cemetery in Thibodaux. She is survived by one son, Bill Hitch and wife, Evelyn, of Enterprise, Ala.; two brothers, Michael and Clyde Dennis, both of Thibodaux; three sisters, Pearl George, Lottie Soignet and Emily Rodrigue, all of Thibodaux; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard M. Hitch Sr.; her parents, O.F. "Tobe" and Emily Webre Dennis; and one sister, Elizabeth Gervais.

Estelle married Willard M. Hitch Sr., son of William Porter Hitch and Emily Bell (Emma) Hartley. (Willard M.
