On April 1, 1843, for $80, Andrew Ellicott Hitch sold to William Freeney, both of Somerset Co., lands willed to him by his father William A. Hitch in his will dated June 10, 1827, a 20 acre tract of "Denwoods Den" (or "Denards Den") located near Waller's mills. (Somerset County Land Records, Liber AH, Folio 498)
