Curtis F. Hitch, 69, of Snow Hill, died Sunday in Pe-ninsula General Hospital after a long illness. He was a retired agent for the Home Beneficial Life Insurance Co. Born here, Mr. Hitch was a son of the late Robert and Ida Adkins Hitch. He was a member of Spence Baptist Church near Snow Hill. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virginia H. Hitch; two children, Charles C. Hitch, Snow Hill, and Mrs. Lois H. Turton, Annapolis; and four grandsons. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Spence Church with the pastor, the Rev. William Kunsman, officiating. Interment was in Whatcoat United Methodist Cemetery here. (Worcester County Messenger, Oct 4 1973, page 12)
