On April 14, 1883, Samuel and wife Hetty A. Hitch, William H. and wife Henny Washbord, and Mary M. Hitch sold to Levin T. Hitch for $100, 75 acres of land in the 7th Election District called "Heaths Venture" and "Buck Harbor". This was the land that "Washington Hitch owned at his death and on which Matilda M. Hitch now lives." (WoLR-ITM9:574).

Levin T. Hitch, age 27, married Sallie C. Owens, age 19, on May 6, 1884. They were married in Fruitland by J.M. Tindall, a Wico. County minister and Levin's occupation was noted as carpenter. (Wicomico County Marriage Licenses)

In the Federal Census of 1900, Levin T. Hitch is indicated in a household in District 7 (Atkinsons), Worcester County, Maryland (ED106, sheet 11, line 18) as follows: - Levin T. Hitch, born 7/1858 in MD - Mrs. Levin T. Hitch, born 2/1864 in MD - Florence Hitch, born 5/1885 in MD - Uriah T. Hitch, born 2/1887 in MD - Lula A. Hitch, born 7/1889 in MD.

In the Federal Census of 1910, Levin T. Hitch is indicated in District 8, Nutters, Wicomico County, Maryland on Bounds Road, in a household as follows: - Levin T. Hitch, age 53, farmer, married 26 years - Sallie E. Hitch, age 45 - Uriah T. Hitch, age 23, sawmill laborer - Fred A. Hitch, age 6 They had 4 children of which 3 are living. All can read/write.

Hitch. His father was Washington Hitch of Worcester County, Maryland and his mother was Margaret (Denston) Hitch of Worcester County, Maryland. He was buried on August 11, 1942 in the Charles Smullen Cemetery, St. Lukes Church, Worcester County, Maryland.
