Tallulah Catherine (Hitch) Chapman was a Librarian and Assistant Teacher for the Science Dept., Wesleyan College, Macon, Georgia. For 14 years, she was a teacher in the Wesley Bible Class. She was a Methodist.

"A Hitch Orchard" goes on to state, "Tallulah Catherine Hitch was a woman of keen intellect. Among other things she was greatly interested in the history of the family and she was one of several who aided the compiler in collecting data for this work. (She was:)

June 1882 - Honor graduate of Young Female College, Thomasville, GA. Librarian, Asst. teacher, Science department, Wesleyan College, GA, Macon, GA. (sic)

1897 - Organized Quitman Chapter U.D.C., Pres. three years.

1907 to April 18, 1908 - Organized Hannah Clark Chapter N.B.D.A.R. #303 and was regent for three years - state treasurer 1917-1918; State Auditor, GA Soc. D.A.R. 1918-1920.

(Was a) teacher for Wesley Bible Class 14 years."
