John W. Disharoon.
Mr. J. W. Disharoon, a well known, citizen of this city died at his residence Thursday night after a lingering Illness of about seven months, aged 69 years. He is survived by a widow and five children Mrs. B. McKenney Price, Mrs. William Perry, and Elwood Ray, of this city. Mrs. Wm. O. Bailey, of Philadelphia, and Levin Disharoon of New York. He as a strong Democrat and had never missed a year at the polls to vote since he was 21 years of age. During the Civil War, Mr. Disharoon cast his fortunes with the Confederacy and served throughout the entire war. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 8 o'clock by Rev. David Howard. Interment was in Parsons Cemetery. (Salisbury Advertiser, Mar 16 1912)
