In the 1824 Tax Assessment records for Sussex County, Whittington Hitch Jr. is listed in Northwest Fork Hundred to pay his personal tax. (SxTA-1824)
In the 1827 Tax Assessment records for Sussex County, Whittington Hitch (this listing may say Jr. but record is very hard to read) is listed in Northwest Fork Hundred with: 3 old horses 3 cows and calves 5 young cattle 7 sheep 2 sows and 8 shoats 3 oz plate (SxTA-1827)
We find no record of Whittington Hitch jr. after the 1827 Tax Assessment and he does not show in the 1830 Federal Census. It may be that he died in 1828 or 1829.
