Melvin H. Jones Sr. - Eden - A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Baker and Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury for Melvin H. Jones Sr., 61, of Deer's Head Center, formerly of Eden. He died Saturday of a heart attack at Peninsula General Hospital Medical Center. The Rev. Wendy Stanley will officiate. Interment will be in Allen Cemetery. Born in Eden, he was the son of the late Henry Wesley and Ruby Hilghman Jones. A retired farmer, he is survived by two sons, Melvin H. Jones Jr. of Paint Rock, Ala., and Louis M. Jones of Salisbury; a daughter, Aliene J. White of Eden, five grandchildren and several nephews. Friends may call 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. (The Daily Times, Sunday, 7 December 1986, p.
