Harold Taylor Hitch Sr.
Harold T. Hitch Commercial pressman, 86 Harold T. Hitch of Thornton, a commercial pressman, died May 22 at Elmshaven Nursing Home in Thornton. He was 86. Graveside services were Friday at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Neb. There was cremation. He was born July 15, 1910, in Doniphan, Neb. He married Thelda T. Pollock in Atlantic, Iowa. She preceded him in death. He served in the Army in the European Theater during World War II. He worked as a commercial pressman for 50 years. He is survived by a son, Harold Jr., Auburn, Neb.; two daughters, Thelma Hitch Speers, Kansas City, Mo., and Patricia Ann Brownfield, Warsaw, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Harold married Christena Mae Jones, daughter of Arthur E. Jones and Anna Mae Harman, about 1929. (Christena Mae Jones was born in 1913 in KS.) Harold next married Thelda D. Pollock on 22 May 1997 in Atlantic, IA. (Thelda D. Pollock was born on 16 Feb 1920 in Royal, NE, died on 23 May 1997 in NE and was buried about 26 May 1997 in Ft. McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Lincoln Co., NE.) |
