Joseph Hitch Dies Suddenly Nov. 23 -- Joseph G. Hitch, 65, a farmer and life long resident of near El Paso, died suddenly at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, November 23, at his home two miles southwest of El Paso. The body was taken to the Vincent Memorial Home. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the home and at 2 p.m. at the Vincent Memorial home with Rev. Jack B. North officiating. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery. He was born February 25, 1885, near El Paso, a son of Robert E. and Mary Ellis Hitch. He married Sadie L. Heinz at Lewistown October 25, 1933. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Raridon of Springfield and Mrs. Helen Lawyer of Bloomington, a brother, Roy of Bloomington; a half sister, Mrs. William Banner of Peoria, Iowa; three step children, Mrs. Dorothy Sylvins of Princeton, James Heinz of Mackinaw and Mrs. Edna Hitch of Chatsworth; 13 grandchildren. Two brothers, a sister and a half sister preceded him in death.
