Elizabeth Kirkpatrick
Elizabeth Kirkpatrick Hitch, 79, of West Lafayette, died at 8:30 PM Monday, May 5, 1986, in Lafayette Home Hospital, where she had been a patient since April 24. Born Feb. 25, 1907, in Lafayette, she was reared here. Her marriage was to Vernon K. Hitch on July 2, 1932, in Lafayette, and he survives. Mrs. Hitch had formerly worked at National Fowler Bank, now Lafayette National Bank, and from 1928 to 1932, she was secretary for David E. Ross. From 1932 until 1968 she had lived at Akron, OH, before returning to Lafayette in 1968. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, PEO Sisterhood, President's Council at Purdue University, John Purdue Club, and Purdue Alumni Association.
Elizabeth married Vernon Kenneth Hitch, son of George Hitch and Mary E. Simpson, on 02 Jul 1932 in Tippecanoe Co., IN.
