In the Federal Census of 1840, Ann Hitch in a household in Leroy, Genesee County, New York (page 393) with no males, two females age 10-15 and one female age 30-40.
In the will of John Jones written on May 10 1849 and probated Jun 19 1849, it mentions youngest son George and other sons John, Thomas and Peter Jones. Also mentions daughter Ann R. Hitch and wife's daughter's son John Jones alias McKee?? Witnesses were George T. Renshaw, Sally A. Jones and Benjamin T. Street. (SoW-1837/59:158,159)
In the Federal Census of 1850, Ann Hitch is listed in a household (pg 201) in Genesee County, New York as follows: - Ann Hitch, age 45, born in MD - Frances A. Hitch, age 23, born in MD (daughter).
Ann married Elijah Hitch, son of Curtis Hitch and Hetty Balding, about 1825. (Elijah Hitch was born about 1799 in MD 6 and died in 1831-1839 in Genesee Co., NY 7.)
Ann next married Charles Foster, son of Donald Foster and Virginia Audrey Lee Washburn, in 1851-1858. (Charles Foster was born in 1786, died on 19 Jul 1858 in Genesee Co., NY and was buried about 22 Jul 1858 in First Baptist Church Cemetery, Pavilion, Genesee Co., NY.)
