He was the son of the late George and Annie Hitch of Salisbury and formerly lived on Newton Street there. He was survived by his wife Mrs. Juanita Knowles Hitch of Nanticoke, a sister Mrs. M.M. Kennerly of Jacksonville, FL and a brother Norman Hitch of Queenstown.
