In the Federal Census of 1900, Frank Hitch is listed in Clermont County, Ohio in a household as follows: - Frank Hitch, born 9/1842 in OH - Jennie H. Hitch, born 4/1857 in OH.

In the Federal Census of 1910, Francis A. Hitch is listed in Clermont County, Ohio in a household as follows: - Francis A. Hitch, age 67, born in OH - Jennett Hitch, age 52, born in OH.

In the Federal Census of 1920, Frank A. Hitch is listed in Hamilton County, Ohio in a household as follows: - Frank A. Hitch, age 77, born in OH - Jennie R. Hitch, age 62, born in OH.

In the file of Veterans Administration Pension Payment Cards (Index) 1907-1933 in the National Archives, it states that Francis A. Hitch, an Army invalid died Feb 17 1920. He was a Private in Company L, 9th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry. (Cert. No. 1105283)

Obituary in the Cincinnati Commercial News for February 18, 1920:

FEDERAL GAUGER DIES

Frank A. Hitch, 78 years old, for 28 years associated with the United States Internal Revenue Office at Cincinnati as storekeeper-gauger, died at his home, 2410 Shanmore avenue, Norwood, yesterday. Mr. Hitch was a veteran of the Civil War. He was Vice President of the Amelia State Bank at Amelia, Ohio. One brother, Charles P. Hitch, Springfield, Ill. and a sister, Mrs. W.S. Flynn, Cincinnati, survive. Funeral services are to be held at the home Friday afternoon.

HITCH - Frank A. Beloved husband of Jennie R. Hitch (nee Ryland) at 2410 Shanmoor ave., Norwood, O. February 17, in his 78th year. Funeral services at late residence, Friday, February 20, at 1:30 p.m. Interment Spring Grove Cemetery.

Francis married Lauretta Lindsey, daughter of Hezekiah Lindsey and E.Carrie (?), on 15 Nov 1865 in Clermont Co., OH. (Lauretta Lindsey was born on 31 Mar 1847 in OH, died on 13 Jun 1870 in Clermont Co., OH and was buried about 16 Jun 1870 in Green Mound Cemetery, Richmond, Clermont Co., OH.)

Francis next married Jeanette R. (Jennie) Ryland, daughter of Edward C. Ryland and Elizabeth Ware, in 1875-1880. (Jeanette R.
