Obituary in the Cincinnati Commercial News for February 18, 1920:

FEDERAL GAUGER DIES

Frank A. Hitch, 78 years old, for 28 years associated with the United States Internal Revenue Office at Cincinnati as storekeeper-gauger, died at his home, 2410 Shanmore avenue, Norwood, yesterday. Mr. Hitch was a veteran of the Civil War. He was Vice President of the Amelia State Bank at Amelia, Ohio. One brother, Charles P. Hitch, Springfield, Ill. and a sister, Mrs. W.S. Flynn, Cincinnati, survive. Funeral services are to be held at the home Friday afternoon.

HITCH - Frank A. Beloved husband of Jennie R. Hitch (nee Ryland) at 2410 Shanmoor ave., Norwood, O. February 17, in his 78th year. Funeral services at late residence, Friday, February 20, at 1:30 p.m. Interment Spring Grove Cemetery.
