Mrs. Peter Murray Died Tuesday Afternoon After a Years Illness, Funeral This Morning
Mrs. Margaret Murray, wife of Peter Murray of Clarion Heights, died Tuesday, Christmas afternoon, at the family residence on Clarion Heights, of complications, after a year's illness. The funeral was held this Friday morning at nine o'clock from Holy Rosary church, and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery. She is survived by her husband and ten children as follows: William, Mrs. Ellen Bloam, Peter, Mrs. Margaret Thompson, Thomas and Robert, all of this place; Patrick, of Pittsburgh; John J. of Panama; Mrs. Delia Carse, of Beaver; Michael, of Erie. She has one brother living in Everett, Wash. In addition to the above she is survived by 22 grandchildren and two great grand children. All of her sons and daughters were here to attend the funeral with the exception of John J., who is in Panama.
The pall bearers were M. W. Murphy, P. N. McCarthy, Jas. R. Brahaney, Chas. Fleming, John Russell and James Sullivan. Margaret Mullen Murray was born in County Galway, Ireland, in 1861, and was therefore 56 years of age. She was married in Ireland to Peter Murray, and they came to the United States about 36 years ago, living first in St. Marys for a year and then coming to Rolfe, continuing to make this town her home until her death and therefore being one of the town's earliest residents.

Margaret married Peter John Murray, son of Peter Murray and (?) Hynes, in 1876 in Ireland.¹ (Peter John Murray was born in 1849 in Ireland,³ died in Jan 1918 in Elk Co., PA and was buried in Jan 1918 in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg, Elk Co., PA.)
