Mentioned on 14 Oct 1791, Worcester Co, Maryland: It was on this date that administration on the estate of Burrell Drummond was granted to Naomi Drummond, Valentine Dennis & Elget Ruark of Worcester County, MD. To quote the document: Know all men by these presents that we Naomi Drummond, Valentine Dennis & Elget Ruark of Worcester Count and State assd. are held firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of five hundred Pounds Current money of the States assd to be paid to the said State of Maryland and to which payment well and Truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and every of us our and every of our heirs Executors and administrators in and for the whole Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this 14th day of October - Anno Domini 1791. The Condition of this obligation is such that if the within Bounden Naomi Drummond Administratrix and singular of the Goods Chattels and Credits of Burrell Drummond late of Worcester County deceased do make or Cause to be made a true & perfect Inventory of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased which however or shall come to the hands possession or knowledge of the said Naomi Drummond or into the hands & possession of any other Person or persons for her and the same so made do Exhibit or cause to to be Exhibited into the Registry of the Orphans Court of Worcester county before the 14th day of January next and the same Goods Chattels and Credits and all other the Goods Chattel and Credits of the deceased at the time of his death which at any time after shall come to the hands or possession of her the said Naomi or into the Hands and possession of any other person or persons for her do well and truly administer According to Said Crt shall pay the debts of the said deceased so far for as his Personal Estate shall Extend and the Said will hold as also all such Reasonable Charges & fees as have Arisen or shall arise of become due to any the States Officers from the said Naomi Drummond on Account of the said deceased or his Estate and further to make or cause to be made a true & just account of said Administration at or before the 14th day of October next and all the rest & residue of the said Goods Chattels & Credits which shall be found Remaining upon the said Administratrix's Account the same being first Examined and allowed of by the Judge or Justices for the time being of the Said Court shall deliver and pay unto the person or persons Appointed by Said to receive the same and if it shall hereafter appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the said deceased and the Executor or Executors therein named do Exhibit the same into the said Court making request to have it allowed and approved according by if the said Naomi Drummond within bounden being there unto required to render and deliver the said Letters of administration (approbation of the said Testament being first had and made) in the said Court. Then this Obligation to be void & of none effect or else to be & Remain in full force & virtue. Signed Sealed & Delivered In presence of John Wise. Letters of Administration Granted to the assd.
