SALEM - David Ellis Wiltbank passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at the age of 70. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 18, 1943, to Mary Alta Udall Wiltbank and William Ellis Wiltbank, jr. He spent his childhood there and graduated from Albuquerque High School. From 1961-1963 he served a mission to Brazil for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For the rest of his life, he loved speaking Portuguese and loved the Brazilian people. After graduation from Brigham Young University, he earned an MBA at Stanford University. He married Virginia Nelson on December 27,1967 in Manti, UT. Dave spent his early career as a marketing executive for General Electric, WR Grace, Panasonic and View Engineering. During those years the family moved from Ohio to New Jersey to California. In 1989, he and his family moved to Salem where he operated his own business until 2003, when he retired. Dave valued spending time with his family, serving in his Church, reading, engaging in animated conversation with friends, playing with kids, watching sports and walking in the beautiful Oregon forests. He is survived by his wife Gini (Virginia Nelson Wiltbank), son Kenneth Wiltbank (Krista), daughter Alison Wiltbank Brady(Christopher), son Robert Wiltbank(Carla), daughter Rebecca Wiltbank, son Bradley Wiltbank(Ashley) and daughter Amy Wiltbank; 12 beloved grandchildren; brother Ron Wiltbank and sister Joyce Howells (Samuel). Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2530 Boone Rd., SE, Salem, on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at City View Cemetery 390 Hoyt St., S, Salem.
