Bruce K. Hitch

From "A Hitch Orchard," Daisy Hitch Davies, 1931: "Bruce received his education at Princeton and Evansville, IN. Shortly after finishing high school, he enlisted at age 17 in Headquarters Co., 151 Infantry and served with this outfit at Hattiesburg, MS. He was advanced to Corporal Nov. 1, 1917. Discharged Feb. 11, 1918 on account of being under age.

He entered the employ of the Indian Refining Co. as service station attendant shortly after the war and has made splendid progress with this company. At present he is superintendent of all their station in Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois. He lives (1931) with his parents in Evansville, IN. Republican. No issue. - Given by one of the family."
