On Mar 20 1747, he had the tract STANFORDS FINDING surveyed for him for 100 acres.On Jan 25 1755 Joseph Stanford sold 50a of it to William Stanford (SoLR-B:052) On Apr 6 1772 he sold 11.5a of it to Jonathan Stanford, for 5s (SoLR-E:188) and, same day he and Thomas Stanford sold 38.5a of it o Levin Gunby, for £53.18 (Ibid-E:191) (SoLR-GH:091) Dec 20 1723, 50 acres of WHAT YOU PLEASE from Alexander Vance, tailor, to Joseph Stanford, planter. Same land he sold on Apr 06 1772 (69 ac) to David Stanford, for 5 shillings (SoLR-E:188)
He began selling off his lands to his sons for very little money in 1772 probably as he was approaching the end of his life.
