Certain of James Shiles (born c1815/18) being parent of Jesse (born 1846) but not sure of James' father being James Shiles (born c1796). The elder James Shiles, though appears to be the only candidate in the 1830 census to have had a child the age of James Shiles born in 1815/18. NOTE that many genealogies try and link this James to Eli Shiles as father and it doesn't work! This James Shiles moved to Wabash Co., IN between 1864 and 1866.
James married Mary (Polly) Marvel, daughter of William Marvel and Sarah (?), on 13 Oct 1835 in DE. (Mary (Polly) Marvel was born about 1815 in Sussex Co., DE and died before 1848 in Sussex Co., DE.)
James next married Hester E. Morgan, daughter of Elijah Morgan and Sarah (?), on 25 Aug 1853 in Sussex Co., DE.1 (Hester E. Morgan was born in 1833-1835 in Near Laurel, Sussex Co., DE,5 6 7 died on 28 Dec 1870 in Wabash Co., IN 8 and was buried about 31 Dec 1870 in Falls Cemetery, Wabash, Wabash Co., IN.)
